1. Product Overview
PVC Heat Shrinkable Tube is a heat-shrinkable insulating material made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the core raw material, with the addition of stabilizers, lubricants, plasticizers, and other auxiliaries, through processes such as mixing, extrusion, crosslinking, and expansion. Its core function is to achieve radial shrinkage (shrinkage rate ≥48%) by heating (≥98℃), tightly covering the protected object, and playing a comprehensive role in insulation, moisture resistance, corrosion prevention, dust prevention, and beautification.
The product complies with the EU RoHS environmental directive and is suitable for various scenarios requiring insulation and protection. It is a commonly used material in the electronics, battery, hardware, and other industries.
II. Core Features
Heat shrinkage: Rapid shrinkage upon exposure to heat (starting at 98°C or above), with a transverse shrinkage rate of ≥48% and a low longitudinal shrinkage rate (≤7% for small sizes), ensuring no loosening or deformation after wrapping.
Insulation performance: volume resistivity ≥1×10¹⁵Ω/cm³ (at room temperature), withstand voltage level up to 300V, effectively isolates current and prevents short circuits.
Temperature resistance: Operating temperature range **-40℃~105℃** (some models are 85℃), suitable for most environmental requirements.
Anti-corrosion and dustproof: Resistant to acid and alkali, oil stains, and dust, protecting the enclosed objects (such as batteries, wire connectors) from external erosion.
Flame-retardant safety: The flame-retardant rating reaches UL VW-1 (self-extinguishing), which means it will not spread fire in case of ignition, ensuring safe use.
Economical and practical: low price, minimal equipment investment (only requiring a heat gun and an oven), and a comprehensive cost significantly lower than that of traditional insulation materials (such as rubber sleeves).
